Police investigate murder case in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (NEWS10) — The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department announced they are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday evening. The incident occurred on Main Street.

On June 1 at approximately 10:19 p.m., police responded to a parking lot at 472 Main Street after shots were fired. Upon arrival, officers found a 55-year-old city resident suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say the man was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Poughkeepsie Police Department at (845)451-7577.
