San Antonio Brahmas vs. Houston Roughnecks Odds, Picks and Predictions

San Antonio Brahmas vs. Houston Roughnecks Odds, Picks and Predictions

THE San Antonio Brahmas (4-2) faces the Houston Roughnecks (1-5) Sunday at TDECU Stadium at 3 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Let’s analyze the FanDuel Sportsbook lines around the Brahmas against. Bullies odds and make our expert UFL football picks and predictions.

The Brahmas lost a close game 18-12 to the DC Defenders last week as 1.5 point favorites. We had a better day than them since we took the Defenders +105 and the Under 42.5. QB Quinten Dormady was 16 of 26 for a measly 79 yards, 1 score and 1 pick. R.B. John Lovett was productive with 23 carries for 153 yards rushing, and he also caught a 1-yard reception to pay the dirt.

The Roughnecks were mauled by the St. Louis Battlehawks 22-8 last week to fall to 1-5. They have been outscored 54-17 by top 2 St. Louis teams and the Birmingham Stallions over the last 2 weeks. QB Reid Sinnett was 19 of 34 for 134 yards as Houston really struggled to get much traction on offense. R.B. Marc Thompson rushed 13 times for 46 yards and the only score.

Brahmas picks and predictions at Roughnecks

Prediction

Roughnecks 21, Brahmas 19

Money line

The Brahmas aren’t as good as their record indicates and have really struggled on offense since losing their top QB Garbers for the season. Stinnett is 5th in the league with 945 passing yards, and he’ll need to throw for over 200 yards to get there. It’s a proud match as they don’t want to lose 1-6 at home before another likely defeat against the undefeated Stallions next week. Expect Houston to come out guns blazing.

It’s worth a HALF UNIT angry here with ROUGHNESS +140.

Against the spread

This is a spread I would consider thanks to the extra hook we get. This is the 3rd consecutive road game for the Brahmas. The Roughnecks’ only win of the season was against their in-state rivals, the Arlington Renegades. So they get up for this match and at least cover up.

Take the ROUGHNESS +3.5 (-110).

More less

The Roughnecks are 1-4-1 O/U this year and the Brahmas are 4-2. Houston is going to have to move up a notch to stay there, and I’m more comfortable with the MORE THAN 38.5 (-110).
