Warwick Police investigate motorcycle crash

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Warwick police are investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday evening on West Shore Road.

An officer at the scene told 12 News that investigators are investigating whether it was a hit-and-run.

The investigation is taking place in the area of Oakland Beach Avenue.

At that time, Warwick Police Chief Colonel Bradford Connor confirmed that authorities identified the driver and vehicle involved.

The person on the motorcycle was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries, but police said he was awake and conscious upon arrival.

Connor said the investigation is ongoing and will include whether those involved were impaired.
