ATLANTA, Georgia (Atlanta News First) – It will be a dry start to the day as storms are expected north of Atlanta this afternoon.

Storms are expected this afternoon

It will be dry in North Georgia this morning, but that will change this afternoon. A wave of showers and storms is expected to move southeast through the mountains of North Georgia this afternoon and evening, especially if you’re driving home from work.

Most of the storms are expected to stay in the mountains, but isolated storms could reach as far south as Atlanta as you drive home from work today.
