Jackson-Atlanta flight diverted after loss of pressure

JACKSON, Wyo. — A Delta flight from Jackson Hole Airport to Atlanta was diverted mid-air after a pressurization issue on the morning of Saturday, July 13.

The Boeing 757-200 plane, which left Jackson shortly after 8 a.m., was diverted to St. Louis Lambert International Airport after the crew reported a “possible pressurization issue,” according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

There were 148 passengers and six crew members on board the flight, which landed safely in St. Louis at 11:35 a.m. local time.

None of the passengers or crew were injured and the passengers were transferred to another flight to Atlanta later in the day.

“We apologize for the delay to their travel,” Delta said in a statement, according to Yahoo! News. “The safety of our customers and employees remains Delta’s highest priority.”

The FAA said it would investigate the incident.
