Heavy rains hit parts of Texas on Sunday, July 7, as Tropical Storm Beryl approach parts of the Texas coast.

Drone footage captured by Jim Washkau shows the Houston skyline disappearing behind a wall of rain early Sunday evening.

According to National Weather Service (NWS), high winds, heavy rain, storm surge and flooding were expected in southeast Texas through Monday.

“Beryl is expected to track northward and strengthen into a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall near eastern Matagorda Bay” between Sunday night and Monday morning, the agency said. said“After Beryl moves inland, it will weaken and track northeast” late Monday.
