Missing Matthews woman found dead in south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating the death of a woman in south Charlotte.

CMPD said officers assisted Medic on a call in the 7800 block of Rea Road on May 9, just before 1 p.m.

Officers say they found a deceased woman at the scene.

Matthews Police said the woman was identified as Olivia Kathleen Bruce, 18, who was reported missing on Wednesday, May 8.

According to CMPD, the woman was initially reported missing by the Matthews Police Department.

CMPD says there are no signs of wrongdoing at this time.
