‘Argument’ at Drake’s Toronto mansion marks third police-involved incident this week

Drake’s home was the subject of a break-in on Thursday.

According to Toronto police spokeswoman Shannon Eames, police were called to the superstar rapper’s Canadian home around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon about an intruder. The intruder was involved in an “altercation” with security guards before police arrived and was later taken to hospital.

The “Rich Baby Daddy” hitmaker has been the subject of three police-involved incidents at his Toronto home this week, including an early morning shooting of a security guard outside the gates of his mansion on Tuesday. Then Toronto Police Service officers were called to Drake’s home around 2 p.m. Wednesday after a person “attempted to gain access to the property.”

Police could not release the identity of the person in Wednesday’s break-in because the person was arrested under the Ontario Mental Health Act, meaning the incident is not being treated as a criminal matter. However, Eames said the person involved in Thursday’s incident has not been arrested under the Ontario Mental Health Act.

Under the law, authorities can take a person in custody to a doctor for an examination if officials believe the person “appears to be suffering from a mental disorder” that could lead to serious physical harm, the agency’s website says Government of Ontario.

The trio of incidents involving police came amid the rapper’s highly contentious feud with Compton host Kendrick Lamar, which has featured dissidents with numerous allegations between the two ranging from secret children to sexual assault.

Drake’s house is a notable centerpiece of the discussion between the two rappers. His opulent estate is well-known among his fans, and the mega-mansion is featured on the cover of Lamar’s trending dissident track “Not Like Us,” one of many Drake-directed one-offs in which Lamar suggests that sex offenders live at Drake’s home in Toronto .
