Tragic flood at UPSC Coaching Centre: Investigation underway

Three UPSC aspirants of Rau’s IAS study circle in Old Rajinder Nagar lost their lives when the basement of the library was flooded due to heavy rain on Sunday. The institution expressed its deep condolences and stressed its willingness to assist in the investigation into the incident.

The victims Tanya Soni, Nevin Dalvin and Shreya Yadav were trapped and could not escape the rising waters. Rau’s IAS study group has assured full cooperation to the concerned authorities to determine the cause and ensure that all necessary information is available.

Officials and students cited the lack of proper sewage systems and safety protocols as the cause of the deadly incident. The Delhi government has launched a judicial inquiry to look into these allegations and prevent future tragedies.
