Buffalo Billiards Invites World’s Best Player to Petaluma for Fundraiser

Buffalo Billiards of Petaluma is offering fans of the game the chance to learn from the best as Shane Van Boening, the world’s top player, comes to Sonoma County for a fundraiser next week.

Van Boening will be available Tuesday starting at 4 p.m. for clinics or individual competitions for $125 that will benefit the Petaluma People Services Center. The opportunity to do both is available for $200.

Van Boening won more than 100 titles during his 19-year professional career, including five U.S. pool championships. He is also hearing impaired and has been featured on “60 Minutes” for his pool successes.

At Buffalo Billiards’ fundraiser on Tuesday, one of Van Boening’s signature cues, produced by CueTec, will be raffled off, with proceeds also benefiting the Petaluma People Services Center.
