Man arrested for child abduction, allegedly raped 24 times

A National Rescue Organisation (NRO) officer, Nalin Rojanawathikorn, accompanied the mother and her teenage daughter to report the incident to police at Chum Phuang Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima.

The mother, who had been working in Chon Buri, learned upon her return home that her daughter had been living in the house of a 29-year-old man for almost a month.

The mother tried to negotiate an engagement according to tradition, but the alleged paedophile Fluke shirked his responsibility and insulted the family, saying that because of their poverty, no one would take them seriously.

The teenager explained that Fluke, who lived nearby, visited her frequently, told her sweet things and persuaded her to move in with him. He promised to take care of her and asked her to live with him, citing her family’s financial problems as the reason.

The girl eventually believed Fluke’s deception and moved into his house in April. Her mother found out when she returned home in May and tried to arrange a formal engagement, but was refused. The mother was deeply hurt and demanded 150,000 baht in damages when Fluke’s family also refused the engagement, saying their son was too good for a poor girl.

The situation escalated when Fluke’s family not only refused to negotiate, but also asked the mother to report the incident to the police, implying that no one would help her due to her financial situation. Desperate for justice, the mother turned to a well-known Facebook page that had helped in similar child abduction cases in the past.

Following the complaint, police charged Fluke with several offenses, including abducting a child under 15 from his or her parents or guardians for immoral purposes and raping a minor under 15, regardless of the child’s consent. The teenager admitted to engaging in sexual acts with Fluke 24 times during her stay, resulting in 24 separate charges, KhaoSod reported.
