Mariners Extra: Jarred Kelenic Moves to Top of Atlanta Braves Roster

Through his first 11 games with the Mariners, outfielder Victor Robles has a slash line of .353/.421/.471 (.892 OPS) in 20 plate appearances.

Who is not

In 15 games this month, Dylan Moore has a slash line of .154/.246/.308 (.554 OPS) with two home runs, five RBIs, five steals and a 32.8% strikeout rate. in 61 plate appearances.

Lead monitoring

Outfielder Jared Sundstrom is slashing .377/.472/.721 with four homers and 13 RBIs in 72 plate appearances for the High-A Everett AquaSox this month. A 10th round pick out of UC Santa Barbara last year, Sundstrom, 23, is hitting. 299 with seven home runs, 13 steals and a .927 OPS in 53 total games this season.

Ex-sailor of the week

Jarred Kelenic posted an .825 OPS through 16 games in June. And since becoming Atlanta’s leadoff hitter last weekend, Kelenic has hit .321 with two homers and a .916 OPS in six games.

After a torrid stretch in which they won 29 of 35, the Phillies cooled off (series 12-11) just as their schedule was starting to heat up.

4. Dodgers (47-31)

Shohei Ohtani, in his first game against his old club Friday night, did something that hasn’t been done since “Tungsten Arm” O’Doyle of the 1921 Akron Groomsmen, and the Angels beat the Dodgers, 3- 2.

5. Goalkeepers (47-26)

No easy outings in this deep Cleveland lineup, but it will be intriguing to see how the Guardians handle a thin starting rotation moving forward.

6. Brewers (44-32)

Huge bounce-back season for former MVP Christian Yelich, who at age 32 is hitting .324 with a .402 on-base and a .500 slug.

7. Sailors (44-34)

8. Braves (42-31)

After a rash of injuries, the Braves appear to have found their footing, having won four straight this weekend, including an 8-1 romp at Yankee Stadium on Friday night.

9. Royals (42-35)

KC is 13-21 against teams with a .500 record (including a 3-3 mark against the Mariners).

10. Red Sox (40-36)

Most Improved Player in Baseball? Jarren Duran is hitting .280 with seven home runs, 19 steals and an .825 OPS out of first place for the Red Sox, and he should be a lock for the AL All-Star team.
