Two Megan Thee Stallion Atlanta Tour Dates Postponed Due to City Water Main Outage

Two of Megan Thee Stallion’s Atlanta tour dates have been postponed due to water leak issues affecting the city’s downtown area.

The rapper was supposed to perform at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena during her “Hot Girl Summer” tour — with GloRilla supporting — on May 31 and June 1, but current conditions forced the concerts to be postponed until tonight and tomorrow (June 2). -3) respectively.

“After discussions with the Mayor’s Office regarding ongoing water leak issues affecting Downtown Atlanta, the City of Atlanta is unable to host the Megan Thee Stallion show scheduled for tonight “, declared the room on its social networks.

However, Thee Stallion – real name Megan Pete – denounced the delay in cancellations on the spot. Fox 5 Atlanta reports that Friday’s show was canceled just an hour before doors, while on Saturday the show was cut 30 minutes before fans were supposed to enter.

“You were acting like I could play, and now you’re telling me, ‘Oh, by the way, when we were trying to fix the pipes we found another problem, and now there’s even more shit happening.'” » declared the rapper while filming herself inside the arena. “What? They’re playing with me.

Earlier this week, the rapper’s lawyers responded to the “sensationalized” workplace harassment complaint filed against her last month.

In April, cameraman Emilio Garcia accused Pete and his management, Roc Nation, of harassment and creating a hostile work environment. He claimed the Houston rapper had sex in a car in front of him while touring Spain in 2022 and made “sexual and humiliating comments” toward him.

Garcia added that he believed Thee Stallion and Roc Nation then retaliated against him by cutting back on his work and ultimately firing him.

At the time, Pete’s lawyers, Mari Henderson and Alex Spiro, said in a statement: “This is a request for employment for money – with no complaints of sexual harassment filed and with salacious accusations in an attempt to embarrass him. We will resolve this in court. »

In a report published by Billboard, Megan’s lawyers filed their response yesterday (May 30). Henderson and Spiro said Garcia’s lawsuit “consists almost entirely of lies, misrepresentations of fact and wild assertions that have no basis in fact or law and no merit.”

Spiro then called the plaintiff “a con artist who is manipulating the legal system to act as his publicist and megaphone in a desperate attempt to revive his failed singing career while trying to destroy Megan Thee Stallion’s successful career.”

NME has contacted Megan Thee Stallion’s representatives for comment on the ongoing lawsuit.
