Albany man arrested for drug possession

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10)– Police arrested an Albany man on drug possession charges Tuesday. Parrish Butler, 31, was arrested by the Albany County Sheriff’s Office after his car was stopped for traffic violations near Central Avenue and Robin Street.

• Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
• One count of second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia
• One count of obstruction of government administration

Police said they stopped Butler’s vehicle and found over a half ounce of crack cocaine intended for sale. Butler was arraigned in Albany Criminal Court and released.
