Parks and Utilities Day returns to Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. — As part of Kids in the Parks Day and kicking off National Public Works Week 2024, the Village of Buffalo Grove and the Buffalo Grove Park District are partnering for the annual Parks Day. parks and public services this Saturday. The family event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mike Rylko Community Park.

According to the organizers, planned activities include:

• Touch a truck.
• Practical and craft activities.
• Demonstrations of equipment and vehicles from 11 a.m.
• Culver’s Free Custard

Attendees will also have the chance to win raffle prizes from event sponsors and local businesses. Prizes include wristbands for the 2024 Buffalo Grove Days Carnival, free games at WJ Golf and Bowlero, passes to Park District facilities and events, Buffalo Grove merchandise and a personalized street sign with the winner’s name .

The event will take place in the park’s south parking lot, located at 951 McHenry Road, adjacent to Spray ‘N Play. Parking for the event will be available adjacent to the Buffalo Grove Golf Dome.
