Texas governor wants investigation into Houston power outage

As OG&E crews help CenterPoint Energy restore power to hurricane-hit Houston, Texas’ governor wants an investigation into the loss of power to more than 2 million people.

Gov. Greg Abbott wants to know why residents are having to wait so long, report says Austin American-Statesman.

“I will immediately ask the Public Utilities Commission to undertake an immediate study to find out why this is happening repeatedly in Houston, Texas,” Abbott told Bloomberg TV in an interview from Asia, where he is on an extended trade mission. “They should not be losing power.”
