A 22-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Willowbrook community of unincorporated Los Angeles County on Saturday.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner website, the woman was later identified as Brenda Mejia.

The deceased’s place of residence is not listed on the website.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 12:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Central Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard.

Mejia was pronounced dead at the scene. No other casualties were reported.

The CHP did not have any further immediate information.

The first call was received by the Century station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and was forwarded to the responsible CHP.

A Century station supervisor said “they (the officers) had to control the crowd,” suggesting the accident may have been part of a street occupation.
