Paris Jackson speaks openly about sexuality

Paris Jackson spoke openly about her sexuality in a new interview and admitted to having dated more women than men in the past.

The 22-year-old was featured alongside her boyfriend Gabriel Glenn as part of a new Facebook Watch series called Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn.

She admitted that her father, Michael Jackson, “teased” her about girls when she was a child.

The musician, who identifies as a lesbian, never thought she would ever be in a long-term relationship with a man. She said: “I thought I would end up marrying a girl.”

She spoke openly about her previous relationships, many of which she had previously kept quite secret.

“The public only knows about three of my long-term relationships and they were with men. The public doesn’t know about most of my relationships,” Jackson revealed.

Although she identifies as gay, Jackson admitted that the gender of her partners was never the main focus for her: “I’ve dated more than just men and women. I dated a man who had a vagina.”

“It has nothing to do with what’s in your pants. It has nothing to do with your XY chromosome makeup. It’s literally just about who you are as a human being.”

Jackson is the only daughter and second child of Michael and Debbie Rowe. She was 11 when her father died in 2009 at the age of 50.

She described how she was unsure about her sexuality during her teenage years because all she saw on television were men and women in relationships.

“I didn’t know that such a thing existed and was a bit torn because I had only ever seen men and women together on TV and so these ideas didn’t make sense to me.”

Despite this confusion, her father quickly realized: “I think he just sensed the energy and kind of teased me in the same way he teased my brothers, like, ‘Oh, you have a girlfriend.'”

“I’m very happy that I was able to experience this, especially at such a young age – I think I was eight or nine. Because not many children have this experience.”

After her father died, Jackson moved in with her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, a Jehovah’s Witness. This move made it more difficult for her to express her sexuality.

“Homosexuality is a big taboo in the black community in general. And in addition to the religious aspect, I felt like I had to suppress it for a while,” the singer admitted.

She says of her boyfriend Glenn, with whom she had been dating for a year, that just a week later the two were living together in his van and had adapted well to his nomadic lifestyle.

“It’s also nice to finally have a home base, which I never really had before. The only home I had before was my dad and now I have Gabe, so I’m very happy,” Jackson said.
