Two Texas Airports Ranked Among World’s Best

DALLAS, Texas (KPEL News) – For many Americans, air travel is a fact of life. You can spend a lot of time in the air and in the various airports across the country. You learn the ins and outs of each one and develop your favorites if you travel enough.

But a survey of airports around the world placed two major nearby airports on the best-of-the-best list, and if you’ve visited either, you won’t be too surprised.

Cabin Crew HQ has named the Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) among the world’s 35 best airports, citing low delays, lower parking and drop-off costs, and dining and shopping options.

DFW was named No. 5 among the best airports overall, followed by IAH at No. 6. According to the survey, Dallas handles more than 70 million passengers annually, while Houston handles nearly 41 million. Additionally, both offer a wealth of shopping and dining options.

IAH also ranks in the Top 10 airports on the list with the fewest delays.

Both countries rank very well when it comes to flight punctuality. 75% of flights departing from DFW are on time. Just over 78% also depart IAH on time.

Both airports are frequently used as hubs for longer air travel, and many Louisiana travelers have made stops and layovers there. Although Louisiana has several airports, including Lafayette, DFW and IAH are large enough to serve as hubs connecting passengers to their final destinations.
