HPD searches for two suspects involved in Westheimer shooting

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Local police and firefighters responded to a shooting at 1512 Westheimer around 12:45 a.m. Responders found a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transferred to a nearby trauma center.

Authorities said the man was robbed while crossing Westheimer Road when he was approached and then shot twice by two male suspects who fled on foot. The Houston Police Department (HPD) urges anyone with information regarding this crime to contact authorities or Crime Stoppers. The victim is expected to survive.
