Four dead in Atlanta ‘murder-suicide’ as bodies found lying in driveway outside home

According to Georgia sheriff’s officials, officers found two bodies in the driveway when they arrived at a home in Sharpsburg — before the man behind also killed himself.

A man killed three people in Atlanta before shooting himself in the head in the early hours of Saturday morning, police say.

According to Georgia sheriff’s officials, officers found two bodies in the driveway when they arrived at a Sharpsburg home. It came after they received multiple 911 calls shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.




It was also revealed that another body was found outside the door of the home. When officers arrived on the scene, a man ran into the house and a gunshot was heard. Officials also said that a SWAT team then arrived and secured the home – before finding the man’s body.

Neighbors were shocked by the incident (ANF)

Sheriff’s officials said they are investigating the case as a “murder-suicide.” Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspected shooter, pending notification of family members. No additional details were immediately available.

Most of the neighbors Atlanta News First spoke with said the community is generally quiet. Many were shocked that something like this happened in their backyard.
