Lil Skies arrested for alleged hit-and-run in Pennsylvania

Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

Lil Skies was arrested after allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run accident in Pennsylvania.

According to Chambersburg police, the rapper (real name Kimetrius Foose) was arrested on May 20 after he was involved in a car accident and subsequently fled the scene.

Skies is said to have sped away in his vehicle after the collision without exchanging information with the person in the other car.

According to Franklin County Jail inmate records, the 25-year-old has since been released from custody, but the conditions of his bail and the status of his case are currently unknown.

Skies has not yet commented publicly on the incident.

The Soundcloud star, who rose to fame in 2017, has previously spoken openly about his aversion to drugs, particularly Lean and Xanax.

“I’m not against people who do this shit, (but) for me it’s just not a way of life,” he told the French outlet Official Rap Fire“I never want to rely on something like that. I’m scared. I’m not going to sit here and pretend I want to do drugs. I know I’m going to have a bad trip, so I’m not going to do it.”

He added: “I’m the type of person – my mind is too strong, I think too hard. I’m not going to put myself in a situation where I can get messed up. But I’ve seen drugs really ruin my friends, some of my friends get locked up for life. This is not for me.”

Despite his previous criticism of drug use, Skies later hosted a virtual concert to celebrate 4/20.
