Cause of deadly fire in Kewaunee County under investigation

FRANKLIN, Wis. (WFRV) – A 57-year-old man was found dead Thursday evening after firefighters extinguished a large structure fire in Kewaunee County.

A press release from the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department states that the dispatch center received reports of the fire in the N1800 block of Manitowoc Road at around 10:50 p.m. on May 30.

According to authorities, the body of the 57-year-old owner was found in the building during the fire-fighting operations.

MPs said the cause of the fire was still under investigation. Assisting agencies included the fire services of Denmark, Luxembourg and Carlton.
