Woman missing in Buffalo


Watertown Township, MI – A tragic incident occurred on a Saturday evening in Watertown Township, where Ashley Monroe, 35, allegedly drove into a crowd of pedestrians, injuring 16 people, including two fatalities.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office reported Monroe’s blood alcohol level was believed to be more than twice the legal limit, 0.183.

The crash happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. on South Wacousta Road, near Corrison Road. Following the collision, Monroe reportedly fled the scene, but was arrested by officers approximately three minutes later.

Authorities found extensive damage to the front of his vehicle and collected evidence at the scene, including hair, blood and tissue from the victims.

Johnathan Esch, 30, and Daniel Harris, 42, tragically died at the scene, while emergency services rushed the other 14 victims, aged between 2 and 61, to hospital. Among the injured, a 38-year-old woman remains in critical condition while the others suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
