Joplin man arrested in sexual assault investigation | KSNF/CODE

CARTHAGE, Mo. – A Joplin man is arrested by Jasper County authorities on allegations of sexual assault.

In a news release, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said investigators arrested 38-year-old Michael Roland after receiving a report of a sexual assault on Wednesday. Roland was also a suspect in two recent but unrelated sexual assault investigations.

Roland was taken to the Jasper County Detention Center with charges of first-degree sodomy, first-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault pending with the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.
