1 dead and 1 injured in shooting in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (WOOD) – One person was killed and another injured in a shooting Saturday morning in Grand Rapids.

Around midnight, officers from the Grand Rapids Police Department were dispatched to the area of ​​Burton Street SE and Eastern Avenue SE in response to a shooting.

Officers learned that a man had been grazed in the arm.

Around 3 a.m., a second call came in about a man who had been shot in the same shooting. GRPD said he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It is unclear if he died before or after arriving at the hospital.

No information on suspects has been released.
