Pedestrian hospitalized after crash on Cardin Street near Ronson Road in Kearny Mesa

KEARNY MESA, CA (May 10, 2024) – A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident on Cardin Street early Thursday morning.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on May 9th. For unknown reasons, a white pickup truck struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Cardin Street and Ronson Road.

Emergency responders transported the 40-year-old victim to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Her condition remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

San Diego police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. Officials will release more information as it becomes available.
