Falcons release 2024 schedule

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Without further ado, the official 2024 Atlanta Falcons schedule is here, featuring a home season opener, four prime-time games and six of the team’s eight new head coaches. NFL.

Week 1 begins at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on September 8 with the Pittsburgh Steelers in town. Former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith will be on the opposing sideline as the Steelers’ offensive coordinator, while his replacement, Raheem Morris, will take over on the Atlanta turf and make his competitive debut.

The Falcons will next travel for their first primetime performance on September 16, a Monday Night Football slot with the Philadelphia Eagles in week two.

This late show follows three straight home games in Weeks 3-5. The Falcons will host the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time on September 22 for Sunday Night Football. Next, the New Orleans Saints arrive on September 29 before a quick turnaround for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 3 for Thursday Night Football.

That brings the Falcons into Week 6, which includes their second road trip and third division game. Atlanta will travel to the Carolina Panthers on October 13. Like the Falcons, the Panthers have a new head coach in Dave Canales.

The game against Carolina marks the first of four road games for the Falcons until their bye in Week 12. They return home on Oct. 20 in Week 7 for the Seattle Seahawks, who also have a new head coach in the person of Mike Macdonald, and November 3 in Week 9 for the Dallas Cowboys. The Falcons will then leave on October 27 for a Week 8 rematch with the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay and November 10 for a Week 10 rematch with the Saints in New Orleans. Atlanta left one more time – to face the Denver Broncos on November 17 in Week 11 – before reaching its Week 12 bye.
