Former child star JoJo Siwa caused quite a stir online with a new magazine cover photo that saw her posing in genre-bending ensembles.

In one particular photo, Siwa appeared to have a baby bump, leading fans to wonder if the image was just a bold statement of her fashion style or a deliberate attempt to be provocative.

JoJo Siwa also talked about what it was like to be in the spotlight, noting that she forgot what it was like to be in public without people staring or wanting to take her picture.

The “Guilty Pleasure” singer sat down in a new interview with Ladygunn Magazine, where he discussed being a curator of attention and the amount of scrutiny that comes with it.

Siwa posed in several edits, looking stunning and exuding the alluring charm she’s come to be known for. However, her photo on the cover of the magazine showed a bump that set the tongue wagging.

The 21-year-old singer and social media influencer donned a manly torso-shaped rhinestone chest plate with a subtle six-pack designed by Sparkyle Studio’s Kyle Farmery. She matched the bottom of her ensemble with rhinestone-studded underwear so she could see her bump.

Sparklye Studio’s official website says the brand specializes in commission-based custom rhinestone embellishments on “anything you want, including clothing, homeware, accessories, shoes, bags and more.”

The provocative image raised eyebrows from people on X (formerly Twitter), with many questioning why Siwa had “a d-ck on”.

– Why did he get a hope? one fan asked, with a crying skull emoji. Another wrote: “Her only way to stay relevant is through shock value and getting people to talk negatively about her.”

A third person wondered: “Did she stuff some socks or wtf ?? but he also said WHY?”

“It’s weird watching you, I can’t explain why. But I don’t like it. Maybe because she still looks like a child to me,” wrote another.

“She’s trying too hard. People with real talent shouldn’t try so hard. She needs a new team,” said another.

Meanwhile, a few users found Siwa’s look nice and bold.

“How about anyone can wear whatever they want,” one fan argued. “How about this? Clothes have no gender. All these comments prove how controlled people are by gender norms. This has to be and this has to be this. You can’t wear something like that because you’re woah, woah, woah wow…”

“Omg this is so camp I love it,” wrote another.

Apparently noting that she can’t remember what it means to her to be in public and not get stares or photo requests, she went on to talk about how she manages to disconnect from her full-time job as a celebrity.

“I definitely dissociate well. It’s a special talent for sure,” Siwa said. “So whatever moment I’m in, I’m in it for that moment. Once it’s over, though, I’ll be out. You know what i mean? This is the kind of skill I have learned over the years. and helped me.”

During a conversation on Nova Smallzy’s “Surgery” podcast, Siwa opened up about her experiences as a child star in Hollywood. She revealed that she felt “taken advantage of as a child” and was involved in “dubious dealings”.

“I was bullied as a child and taken advantage of as a child, but not in a sexual way; it was a way of doing business,” Siwa said. “I think, to hear the dark stories of children … that child stars have been groomed or child stars have been molested in some of the worst cases. I mean, it’s so bad.”

“But I have to say that I really appreciate those child stars who come forward, are open about their stories, because those are things that I’m lucky I didn’t have to deal with. But it still happens.” she added, per Daily Mail.
