Fatal car accident in downtown Seoul leaves at least 6 dead, 8 injured

At least six people were killed and eight others were injured when a car crashed into pedestrians in downtown Seoul on Monday, police said.

The accident took place at an intersection near Seoul City Hall at around 9:30 pm, according to the police.

A vehicle driven by a man believed to be in his 70s plowed into pedestrians waiting at a traffic signal. Police said they are currently investigating the accident, adding that the casualty count may increase. (Yonhap)
