AFTER ALMOST THREE YEARS, A TBI AMBER ALERT IS STILL ACTIVE FOR SUMMER WELLS – 3B Media News

A TBI Amber Alert remains active for missing Summer Wells, now 8 years old, of Hawkins County.

This Saturday marks three years since then-five-year-old Summer Wells disappeared from her home on Ben Hill Road in the Beech Creek community. Hours later, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Child At-Risk Alert, which was upgraded to an AMBER Alert the next day.

They released a photo of Summer showing how she has aged, and officials have received no leads that would have led to their search.

Her parents believe Summer was kidnapped, and her brothers were taken from them shortly after her disappearance. Her father spent nearly a year in prison after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

Anyone with credible information on Summer Wells’ whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
