TSA Hiring at Buffalo Niagara International Airport

The TSA announced Friday the hiring of TSA agents at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

CHEEKTOWAGA, NY — If you need a job or want to change careers, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hiring.

The TSA announced Friday the hiring of TSA agents at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. They are also hiring at the Albany International Airport and Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

What does a TSA agent do? They are the ones who screen air travelers at airports. They hope to hire new agents in the coming months to meet the demand of more travelers during the summer months.

Part-time and full-time positions are available. If you are hired, you will receive paid training, annual and sick leave, and health care plans. The starting wage in Buffalo is $19.80 per hour. In Syracuse, the starting salary is $20.63 and in Albany, $21.24.

“Applicants do not need prior security or law enforcement experience. Our officers will receive extensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and will be paid while they are trained,” said Bart R. Johnson, TSA Federal Security Director for Upstate Airports. New York.

“TSA was created after the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001, and by joining TSA, you will be on the front lines of protecting the traveling public and will also be part of our national security enterprise,” Johnson added.
