Baton Rouge police investigate shooting that left man injured Sunday night

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge Police responded to a shooting around 9 p.m. in the 3500 block of Wenonah Street on Sunday, May 26.

According to BPRD, a man was shot, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators have neither a suspect nor a motive in connection with this shooting.

The investigation into this shooting is still ongoing.

At about the same time Sunday evening, the BRPD also responded to the situation in Liberty Lagoon.

They said assistance was provided in “several fights that took place in a large crowd.”

The BRPD has no motive in connection with the fighting that broke out on Sunday evening.
