Animal abuse criminal investigation underway in Somerville | News

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) – A criminal investigation is underway in Gibson County after several dead cats and neglected animals were discovered.

Sheriff Bruce Vanoven confirms authorities are collecting evidence at a home in the 5000 block of South Jefferson Street in Somerville.

Gibson County Animal Services will take in the remainder of the live animals.

Few details have been released, but the sheriff says charges are likely to be filed.
