According to the Daily MailCourt documents show Federline received $240,000 a year for Jayden and Sean Preston’s care from 2007 to 2017.

That amount was increased by court order to $480,000 a year in 2018 after he appealed to the court to increase his payments to $20,000 a month per child.

“I am no longer able to dance due to my age, and I have not had as much success in producing new music as I did in 2008,” Federline wrote in court documents.

At the time, he claimed to be making $3,000 a month as a DJ, but had no health insurance, stocks, assets or savings.

“I am simply less known and less in demand than I was in 2008, which has had a negative impact on my income,” Federline wrote.

The DJ made several other statements to show the difference in lifestyle between him and Spears and convince the court to increase his alimony.

In 2023, Federline moved his family to Hawaii in search of better DJ opportunities. His wife, Victoria Prince, was also hired as an assistant volleyball coach at the University of Hawaii.

Federline has since denied moving there to take advantage of a legal loophole that would extend Spears’ spousal support obligations.
