More rain and thunderstorms possible on Sunday

HOUSTON – The severe thunderstorm watch that was in effect in Houston has ended.

No severe weather is expected in Houston this evening. However, it looks like one last round of spotty rain and a few strong storms could impact us on Sunday before we finally start to dry things out for much of next week.

Houston is once again in a low 1 in 5 risk for an isolated strong to severe storm, primarily late Sunday morning into early evening.

By Monday, the weather is expected to become slightly warmer and drier with only a 10-20% chance of rain through next week.

Today is the start of the 2024 hurricane season which will end at the end of November. No tropical activity is expected over the Atlantic basin over the next 7 days.
