Man arrested on 20 active warrants at Apple Harvest Festival

ITHACA (WBNG) – A man was arrested on 20 active warrants after he was seen at the Apple Harvest Festival in Ithaca on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Ithaca police officers working the festival recognized 39-year-old Jessiah Jones on outstanding warrants.

When officers approached Jones and informed him that there were warrants for his arrest, he did not comply, and when officers attempted to arrest Jones, he allegedly resisted, Ithaca police said.

Jones was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest and an open container violation.

He was also arrested on 13 warrants for trespassing, five warrants for petit larceny, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and harassment.

Jones is awaiting arraignment in Ithaca Municipal Court.
