An investigation into the death is ongoing at Payne Arena

According to Hidalgo Police Chief Romero Rodriguez, an investigation is underway after a man was found dead outside Payne Arena Saturday morning.

There is no suspicion of foul play, Rodriguez added.

The man was identified as an employee of a third concert production company in his late 30s or early 40s who was helping set up an event at Payne Arena, Rodriguez said.

The man was found collapsed in the back of the building. Police have not yet released his name.

Rodriguez said the man reported feeling sick while working at an event Friday evening, adding that the man may have suffered heat stroke.

An autopsy was ordered.
