San Francisco: Cyclist killed after collision with city vehicle

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic bicycle accident that resulted in loss of life,” said PUC spokeswoman Nancy Hayden Crowley. “Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of this individual. The SFPUC is fully cooperating with San Francisco Police Department investigators. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking situation.”

Police confirmed they were called to the scene of the accident. The injured man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the investigation was ongoing.

The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition stated in a post on X that the cyclist was hit by the car.
