Four animals killed, total loss of home in Buffalo city fire | News

BUFFALO COUNTY (WQOW)- A fire in the city of Buffalo on Saturday left four people dead and the house a total loss.

According to a news release from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, they received two 911 calls at 4:51 p.m. Saturday regarding a fully engulfed home on Brandhorst Road in Buffalo.

One of the callers was a neighbor and said he could not contact anyone inside or outside the house.

A family of three lives in the house, but they were not there at the time of the fire. The family had three cats and a dog who died in the fire and the home is considered a total loss.

A section of Brandhorst Road was closed Saturday while emergency crews put out the fire.
