1 dead after shooting in Durham near Fayetteville Avenue, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) – A man is dead after a shooting in Durham on Monday evening.

Durham police said officers were called to Fayetteville and Linwood Avenue before 10 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and later died of his injuries.

Investigators are working to learn more about the circumstances of this incident.
