Fulton Courthouse, Government Center and other county buildings closed after water main break – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — After a major water main break in downtown Atlanta Friday morning, Fulton County closed several county-owned buildings.

Fulton County government spokespeople say there is no comprehensive list of downtown Atlanta buildings being closed.

Among those closed are the Fulton County Government Center, the Fulton County Courthouse, the Fulton County Juvenile Courthouse, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office and the County Central Public Library of Fulton on Margaret Mitchell Square.

Due to the closure of the courthouse, the day’s legal proceedings are also canceled.

Channel 2 Action News has confirmed that the trial against YSL and rapper Young Thug is over for the day.

Several other major buildings and tourist attractions are also closed.

Atlanta City Hall has closed and Grady Memorial Hospital has canceled all elective and non-emergency procedures at this time.

Officials with Atlanta Watershed Management say they were first informed of the water main break at 8 a.m. and that repairs will begin at 5 p.m.
