Nina Dobrev reveals she is in the hospital after a bike accident

Nina Dobrev has revealed she is in hospital after a bike accident.

The Vampire Diaries alum took to Instagram on Monday, May 20, to share two photos of herself, one of which shows her sitting on an electric bike while the second shows her sitting in a hospital bed in a neck brace and a second brace on her knee.

“How it started and how it’s going,” she captioned the post.

After posting, many people took to the comments to wish her a speedy recovery, while others jokingly reminded her that she was unlike her character in No Powerful Vampire anymore Vampire Diariesand can be injured.

“Girl, remember that vampire blood no longer has any effect on you,” one comment said.

Another commenter joked: “Where is Damon when we need him?”

Many people also left comments on the post wishing Dobrev well. Julianne Hough commented: “That’s my girl! Obviously I wouldn’t be joking if you weren’t feeling well…”

Sophia Bush also commented: “Nooooo! You poor baby.”

Dobrev’s friend, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, also left a comment, writing, “I’m just sticking with the brand.”

The actress later posted another photo of her sitting in a hospital bed on her Instagram story, where she shared that she was going to be fine again. “I’m fine but it will be a long road to recovery,” she wrote.

The accident came just days after White revealed that he and Dobrev were in the process of completing his bucket list since retiring from snowboarding.

“It was really fun spending time together. “Usually I’m away competing and she’s doing a project or something… but now we have some time together,” White said in an interview with US Weekly.

The gold medalist admitted that the list was made before his retirement and mainly consists of more basic tasks such as keeping in touch with old friends or traveling that he would not normally be able to do during competition.

“It was fun,” the Olympian added, listing all the places he and Dobrev have visited so far. “We went to Antarctica, Dubai, visited her mother in France, went to Monaco, went to Indonesia. We were kind of everywhere.”

As for reaching out to friends, White told the outlet that he wants to have more time for the “little things” on his bucket list.

“I want to be there for Thanksgiving, I want to be there for Christmas, I want to be there for people’s birthdays and holidays,” he explained. “It’s like those little things that you put aside when you’re completely focused on the task at hand, which is competing.”

And although he is no longer competing in the 2024 Olympics himself, White said the current plan is for him and Dobrev to travel to Paris to watch the Summer Games.

“That’s the plan,” he said, mentioning that his girlfriend speaks French “pretty fluently.” “She’ll hate me for saying that. Her mother lives in a town (in) southern France. It’s like the most beautiful place.”
