Who won the awards at Taste of Buffalo 2024?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The winners of the 41st Taste of Buffalo were announced Saturday, with a dozen honors going to restaurants across Western New York.

Judging took place Saturday morning with a panel of more than 60 people representing local media, political, business and community development sectors.

• President’s Choice (chosen by Tom Mahoney, President of Taste of Buffalo 2024): DA Taste – Dom’s Taco
• Children’s choice (chosen by Claire and Esme Mahoney, daughters of Tom Mahoney): Golden Hour Treats – Nutella Me Crazy Waffle
• Louis J. Billittier Sr. Rookie of the Year Award: Carrubba’s Chicken Coop
• Veteran Restaurant Winner: Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill
• Eric DuVall Memorial Best of Buffalo Award Winner: Resurgence Brewery
• Best article overall:Dirty Bird Chicken N’ Waffles LLC – Fried Cauliflower Tacos
• Best Surf or Turf Article:BW’s Barbecue – Smoked Jerk Chicken Wings
• Best dessert: Fat Lady’s Cakes & Pies – Award Winning Sweet Potato Pie Cupcake
• Best Handheld Computer: Burger on the battery – Burger on the battery
• Best red wine: Domaine A Gust of Sun – Pinot noir
• Best white wine:Victorianbourg Wine – Domaine Pechette
• Preferred fermentation: Domaine and Three Brothers Estate – Cabernet Franc Rosé
