Our first 90° day of the year expected today in Houston

Tuesday’s forecast:

Be careful if you spend a lot of time outside. Our body is not yet used to this kind of heat. If you are cleaning your property, make sure you stay hydrated as this heat can lead to exhaustion.

Cool front Thursday:

Our next cool front is expected Thursday evening. This front brings a severe weather threat. It’s a rapidly evolving phenomenon, meaning the biggest threat is wind damage. This rapid movement will prevent it from bringing much rain. Rain totals range from a tenth of an inch to a half-inch of rain.

Temperatures will drop behind the front. The maximums will drop by 10 degrees from Thursday to Saturday.

Mother’s Day weekend:

Mother’s Day weekend is going to be awesome! Temperatures will be in the lower 80s with lower humidity Saturday. An area of ​​depression moves in Sunday evening. The weather for Mother’s Day brunch looks great! Afternoon grills have a small chance of rain.

10-day forecast:

The only thing we will be watching next week is the possibility of a stuck trough of low pressure near Southeast Texas. This would be similar to the weather pattern we had last week. It’s too far away to know if the low is holding so for the moment I’m going there with a risk of rain from Monday to Thursday.
