Man fatally hit by car while crossing street in Brentwood

A man was hit and killed by a car while trying to cross a street in Brentwood on Friday night.

According to police, the pedestrian was crossing Wicks Road toward Merrill Street when a Honda struck him shortly before 9 p.m.

The man was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the Honda was not injured, according to police.

The victim’s name has not yet been released by authorities and the accident remains under investigation.
