Man shot near MARTA station in Vine City

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man was injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon near a MARTA station in Vine City, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Police said they responded to a person shot in the area of ​​the 900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, which is near the Ashby MARTA station.

Police reportedly found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the arm. The man was “alert, conscious and breathing” and was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating the causes of the shooting.

MARTA police said the agency was not involved in the investigation into the shooting. They also said the Ashby station was operating normally.
