Woman killed in Paulding County house fire – WSB-TV Channel 2

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A Paulding County woman was killed in a house fire during heavy storms Monday morning.

Fire officials said a man called 911 around 10:36 a.m. to report his Dallas home was on fire and his disabled wife was trapped inside.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found thick black smoke coming from the house. Crews searched the home and found the 62-year-old woman unconscious in a back bedroom. She was taken from the house, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear if the fire is storm-related.

The woman has not been identified. The State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office are both investigating.
