Storm resumes in Houston: Mayor to provide update and discuss aid

HOUSTON — Houston Mayor John Whitmire is set to join the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for a news conference to discuss resources available to Houstonians trying to recover from deadly storms from last week.

The press conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. KHOU 11 will broadcast it on this article, as well as on the KHOU 11 mobile app, YouTube and Facebook pages.

According to the city, the mayor and the SBA will “provide an overview of resources and assistance needed to help impacted communities.”

The mayor is also expected to provide an update on recovery efforts.
