Happy Tuesday, Tennessee Valley! Our Tuesday has been declared a storm alert weather day! Our Tuesday midday timeframe will feature mostly cloudy skies, a few light showers at times, and temperatures rising into the mid to upper 70s. An upper level low will develop late Tuesday afternoon and evening, producing isolated showers and storms. While widespread severe weather is not expected, some storms could become strong to severe, with damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour, with small hail posing the greatest threat. There is also a very low risk of tornadoes. The entire Tennessee Valley has now been upgraded to a “minor” risk level of 2 for Tuesday afternoon and evening. Stay tuned and watch for rapidly changing developments with the storms this afternoon and evening.

The upper level low will move slowly on Wednesday, allowing scattered showers and a few rumbles possible, particularly in the afternoon, with occasional sunshine during the day. Highs will warm to around 80 degrees.

Thursday will be the best day of the week, with partly sunny skies and warm temperatures. Highs will climb into the low to mid 80s.

Our next storm system approaches on Friday, bringing with it another good chance for showers and storms. Highs will be in the low 80s.

The chance of rain will remain next weekend, along with humidity and warm temperatures. Highs will be in the low 80s, with overnight lows in the 60s. There will be no precipitation over the weekend, just daily showers and storms.
